Day off in the middle of the week!!!!
I am in Korea and yes they do things a little differently. Today was a National holiday and it is also a Tuesday. So I went to work on Monday and then I got today off. It feels a little strange cause back in the USA, the holiday would have been on a a Monday or a Friday so there would be a long weekend. Again, this is Korea and things are different here. I actually liked having the day off today. Now when I go back to work tomorrow, I only have three days left of work, yipeeeeee!!!!!
Today Jen and I decided to have a very relaxing day. I woke up around 10 am and went for a jog, to clear my head about Habum. No huge problems, but things are not going so good anymore. Anyways the jog worked. I then went home and showered so I could go to lunch with "Jen Jen my friend". We walked to Yeoido which takes about twenty minutes to one of our favorite restaurants. The food is called Shabu Shabu and its delicious.
Basically it is super thin sliced beef that you cook in a spicy sauce. After the beef is gone, you add noodles and eat those along with drinking some of the soupy hot sauce. Finally the waitress pours in some rice and cooks it for you till the rice is kinda burned on the bottom and then you eat that. All three courses are absolutely fabulous and I have to say you must try it when you are in Korea. The owner of the restaurant is really friendly and used to

study in America, so we always chat with him a bit. I asked him when he came back to Korea and he told me he drank in drove in America and was deported. I guess he didn't understand my question and I was quite taken aback by the bluntness of his answer.
On our way back home we passed this really hot Korean guy and he had a shirt on that said "I love English." Jen and I loved this!!! Jen had a shirt that said "I love Korea." So she said to him "oh oh you love English and I love Korea!!!!" He kinda laughed and I think he thought we were a little crazy and walked away. It was definately one of those I love Korea moments.
